Website Speed Comparison Tool - Compare Core Web Vitals

Compare your website speed and Core Web Vitals against competitor domains you choose using Chrome User Experience Report data. The free tool analyzes Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and other key performance metrics.

What are Core Web Vitals?

Core Web Vitals are a set of real-world, user-centered metrics that quantify key aspects of the user experience. They measure dimensions of web usability such as load time, interactivity, and the stability of content as it loads.

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

LCP measures loading performance. To provide a good user experience, LCP should occur within 2.5 seconds of when the page first starts loading.

Interaction to Next Paint (INP)

INP measures interactivity. To provide a good user experience, pages should have an INP of 200 milliseconds or less.

Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)

CLS measures visual stability. To provide a good user experience, pages should maintain a CLS of 0.1 or less.

Why Web Performance Matters

Website performance directly impacts user experience, search engine rankings, and business metrics. Studies show that:

  • 53% of mobile users abandon sites that take longer than 3 seconds to load
  • A 1-second delay in page response can result in a 7% reduction in conversions
  • Google uses Core Web Vitals as ranking factors in search results
  • Faster websites have lower bounce rates and higher engagement

Site Speed, Resilience, and Unknown Traffic

A poor speed comparison can point beyond front-end code. Unknown traffic such as bots, crawlers, bursts, retries, and expensive requests can affect origin capacity, page speed, and resilience. Peakhour Traffic Visibility adds a free JavaScript snippet for the compared domain so teams can start seeing that traffic context after account and domain setup.
