Support FAQ

What Is ECH?

What Is Encrypted Client Hello (ECH)?

Encrypted Client Hello (ECH), formerly known as Encrypted Server Name Indication (ESNI), is a privacy enhancement for the TLS protocol. It encrypts the client hello message, which includes sensitive information like the server name being requested. ECH is important for protecting user privacy by preventing eavesdroppers from seeing which websites a user is accessing, thus enhancing confidentiality and integrity in web communications.
