What is an SVCB Record?

SVCB (Service Binding) Record is a new DNS record type that enables clients to discover alternate service endpoints and additional parameters required to connect to a service. It's used to specify multiple service endpoints (like different server addresses or ports) and their priorities, along with supported application protocols. This record is key in facilitating efficient load balancing, failover mechanisms, and improving service resilience.
